"Once you know the impact you can't ignore it." - Mikey Garcia on the water crisis in California.
Mikey Garcia took time out of his fight week to visit a local farm in Fresno devastated by the water shortage. Due to a lack of water the farm had to uproot a vast amount of their almond trees to allow for the remaining ones to grow. By doing so it will also reduce the number of hours and jobs available to local farm workers. Garcia and his stablemate, Jose Ramirez, met with the California Latino Water Coalition to discuss the water crisis and how Garcia can use his profile as a voice for change.
