Canelo vs GGG III Posters - GGG Portraits by Melina Pizano/Matchroom - 09/10/22One week until Canelo-GGG III. I finally let it sink in. It's an incredible feeling to have my portrait of Gennadiy "GGG" Golovkin on promos leading up to one of the biggest boxing trilogies. Some years ago I almost gave up on sports photography due to lack of gigs. Forward to the beginning of 2022 I put my trust in my skills, let go of my other job and finally went freelance full-time for the first time ever (and with an 8-month old, now 16 month old, at that. Which couldn’t be possible without my significant other, Jon-Michael.) Thanks to Ed Mulholland for believing in me back then and now. Another one to add to the memories. Looking forward to another Canelo-GGG fight week with him. Here's to keep moving forward and capturing some unforgettable moments to share with every one of you. Saul "Canelo" Alvarez portrait: Ed Mulholland Text repost from Ed's Instagram (@muls96) Cant wait for this fight but...this is kinda cool. For the second fight between @canelo and @gggboxing , I hired @melinapizano to cover the dressing rooms for me, she had edited for me for a couple years but this was the first chance to have her shoot with me. She was nervous as could be and I was teasing her about it before she first hit the locker rooms. I told her right before she went in "Hey, have fun! Don't fuck it up!" Which we still say before every fight. Fast forward 4 years, here's my Canelo portrait on the artwork for the 3rd fight, but MUCH MUCH cooler is that it's next to Melina's portrait of Golovkin. Congrats, so proud of you 😊 Thanks for everything, fight week's never the same without you keeping me sane, see you in a few days! Canelo-GGG I Canelo-GGG II
