This photo is from a GoPro Hero8 that I put on top of a monopod and attached to a ring post. While a GoPro can work great as a remote for an alternate view, I'll admit it's a little distracting and not ideal for fight action because I had to momentarily set aside my DSLR to control the GoPro from my phone. Earlier that night a new magic arm we tried using was stripping the inside of the cameras so we had to change plans for our remotes. The other photographer, Ed Mulholland, attached a GoPro Hero9 to the graphics board to capture boxers walking out to the ring. Those came out great, but in turn it came with the same issue of control. Ideally it would be much better if it could work as a traditional remote firing when I fire my DSLR.
