In Memoriam Patrick Day - Photos by Melina Pizano/Matchroom Boxing - 10/16/19

I had never met Patrick Day before last week. I had only heard and continue to hear great things about him. Even in the locker room before his bout his photographer came up and told me how great of a person Day is. He was a son, a brother, a friend. He had an associate degree in nutrition and a bachelor's degree in health and wellness. Some box for financial means, but Day didn't box because he needed to. He boxed because he loved to. His story is much more than this though. He's left a mark on so many, even those he briefly met.

"Whatever it is that's in your heart, do it. Don't let anybody, anything stop you." - Patrick Day
