Canelo vs GGG Weigh-In - Photos by Melina Pizano - 09/15/17

My first weigh-in! When the Canelo versus GGG match was announced in May, without checking my calendar, I told Ed Mulholland (of HBO Boxing, who I assist) that I was available. Eventually I was confirmed and found out I would have access to photograph the weigh-in. Words cannot describe my excitement to be a part of this long awaited match-up. Ed gave me some notes of where to shoot from and what to look for in the weigh-in. Al Bello (Getty Images), Al Powers (Powers Imagery), and Etzel Espinosa (Imago 7) also gave me a few pointers on what to expect. I gratefully took in all the advice I could get.

I will add that my one regret was not inviting myself to go with Ed when he woke up before the sun rise to set up a remote camera that turned out a powerful wide-angle image of Canelo on the scale with the media and fans surrounding him.
