Culver City vs Hawthorne Varsity Football - Photos by Melina Pizano - 10/20/17

It's been a few years since I last photographed football. Since the season started I had been wanting to cover a game. Although I was limited on lenses (a 24-70 and 70-200), I decided to still give it a try. On Friday I went out to cover the Culver City (6-1) versus Hawthorne (5-3) High School varsity football game. Considering my lenses I had to be on point when it came to coverage; trying to determine whether the next play would be a run or pass and how far down the sidelines I should be. It was a one-sided victory for Culver City who won, 47-0. The game still served as a great refresher. Special thanks to CCHS AD Mr. Salter and Head Football Coach Mr. Wright for the field access.
