After working on this project for four months and waiting for the right moment for it to be published, it's finally here! My photo story on Vela Scarves was featured today in both the Orange County Register (business section) and Los Angeles Register (front cover/business section.) Vela Scarves co-founders Tasneem Atik Sabri and her sister, Marwa Atik, design and sell hijabs with a fashion twist by adding current fashion trends such as lace, pleats, or zipper edges. It was a great experience photographing these young, inspirational entrepreneurs doing what they love.
