U.S. Open Badminton Championships – Photos by Melina Pizano, Orange County Register – 07/08/13

When I first started at the Orange County Register I photographed four high school varsity games per day, five days a week. The majority of the sports I photographed were mainstream sports. As much I enjoy mainstream sports, it was exciting to photograph a sport I hadn’t photographed before, badminton.
